Today I will open the door to symmetry and geometry on the one hand, and chromatic vivacity on the other. In short, the WPAP technique, used mostly in digital artwork. When trying to create a symmetrical composition you may feel that keeping the proportions equidistant is simplicity. But as you advance in the work you will notice that all the pure geometric lines or spaces only “handcuff” the living spirit of the central idea. If you don’t intervene chromatically in force, unlocking spaces and angles, you can lose the whole ensemble. The space gets heavy, blending in with the rest of the detail without consistency, until you discover the colors you need to make a character come to life.
“Solitaire” is handmade in the WPAP geometric style and brings together two different techniques: geometric cubism from the avant-garde period + American pinup as the central model and chromatic effervescence, both characteristic of classic pop art.
