Shortly before the world stopped, in December 2019, I felt the need to return to my first creative exhibition 10 years ago. So I chose an old photo album from 1980 that has the sheets from a thick resistant cardboard and I started an original project: an art album handmade in a single copy containing 10 collages, one on each sheet. It seemed like a lasting idea to combine the past of a 40-year-old family album with the history of the present that I went through.
The final creations made make me believe that the impulse of that time was coherent and relevant for the world we live in. It is my natural way of transmitting to you what I feel, see and live, from the “artist’s cage”, with the conviction that the echoes of the imagination do not need a translator. A modern chronicle of the world in its own shadow cone and dominated by fears, doubt and expectation.
Since not all the works could fit in the scanner in a horizontal position, due to the spine of the album, I hope that the messages of each collage will reach you even so, with small visual inaccuracies.
