As scientists believed that the Amazons were purely imaginary, I considered that the reference to an idyllic representation is absolutely necessary. I deliberately wanted to offer the majestic natural setting, full of strong colors and variety, of the realm of fearless women warriors / artists as a detachment of the collective imagination from the pattern of antiquity. Amazonia is a land of pure, unaltered inspiration and vocational expectations.
