In the case of some female portraits, I sometimes have the surreal feeling that there is an element of sliding in place of my hand. It is he who drives colors and pictorial effects into place, finding spectacular varieties that the artist might doubt. This is also the case with the present painting, which I titled “Glissando”, thanks to the film of the same name from 1984 directed by Mircea Daneliuc, when people become slippery dream creatures.
